Introduction

Registered under the Ministry of Civil Affairs and fully accredited by Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) in 2000, China-Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation (CEATEC) is the only non-profit organization in China that is dedicated to the promotion of trade and commercial ties between China and Europe. All the activities of CEATEC are supervised by MOFCOM.

Mission

CEATEC’s mission is to promote mutual understanding and communication and tap the potential for cooperation between Chinese and European companies. By assisting Chinese and European companies to explore the markets and facilitating the flow of capital, products, technology and talents, we aim to promote the interactions between companies and governments, foster closer links among Chinese and European businesses, thus contributing to the overall development of Sino-European economic and trade relations.

Scope of business

As the only non-profit organization in China that is dedicated to the promotion of trade and commercial ties between China and Europe, all the current business of CEATEC will be serving for the Belt and Road strategy, which is the key of the opening-up strategy in the new era. We are committed to providing best services as follows:

wWorking closely with relevant government agencies to organize and assist Chinese companies to engage in senior level inter-governmental exchanges between China and European, particularly as related to the activities under the frameworks of the Sino-EU Leadership Meeting, Sino-Russia Leadership Regular Meetings of the Heads of States, or Economic and Trade Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Joint Economic and Trade Commissions.

wOrganizing and sponsoring forums, seminars, match-making meetings, workshops, and lectures, joined by government officials, experts, and entrepreneurs from both China and Europe, and providing member companies updated information about world economic development, business management and international trade and investment.

wProviding trainings to Chinese entrepreneurs and management either in China or in European, in order to learn local laws and regulations, investment environment, international best practices in terms of business management, thus exploring opportunities for more cooperation.

wSetting up links with Chinese and European government agencies, embassies and diplomatic missions, trade associations, chambers of commerce and other relevant organizations, thus providing members timely information and consultancy on trade, investment and economic and technical cooperation.

wAssisting Chinese companies to explore European markets, organize exhibitions, match-making meetings, forums and dialogues with governments, or heading Chinese delegations to well-known European trade shows and forums.

wFacilitating cooperation between Chinese and European SMEs by leveraging on the government policies and support where applicable.

wBuilding up “Chinese Brand Center” in key European countries, organizing dedicated tradeshows in certain areas, fostering cooperation between China and Europe in cross-border e-commerce platform, thus assisting and facilitating Chinese companies to “Go Global”.

wPromoting cooperation between Chinese industrial parks and European counterparts, thus facilitating bilateral exchanges and boosting upgrading of local industries.

wPublishing journals about the latest development of economic and trade rules and regulations, policies, and business information both in China and Europe.
